I’m not ready for bed
I’ll lay on the couch instead
Look I know you liked to be held
By my heart feels hurt and felled
And we’ll get over whatever this is
Sun or rain on different days we live
But I’m not wanting to come to bed
I’ll just drift off dreaming on the couch instead.
And we keep turning and flattening our pillows
Eyes refusing to shut down
This feels like forever but it’s just a page
Can’t let our minds make it take front on stage
Do you have shades on seeing all blue or red
Think you’re crying without a sound turned to the wall in bed
Triple processing every single word we’ve said
I’m too tired I’ll just sleep on the couch instead.
